This glass carafe holds twelve 5-ounce cups of coffee and comes with a black plastic handle, knuckle guard, and lid. It's dishwasher-safe. The carafe fits these two Krups drip coffeemakers: model 453 and model 452. It also fits Krups model 137, model 134, and model 141, but for these three models the original carafe lid must be used instead of the lid accompanying this carafe. --Fred Brack

Krups high-speed quartz heating system takes masterful control of heat in the chamber. What's different about the Moka? The brew process uses steam's natural pressure to extract rich, aromatic, Italian style coffee, releasing all the nuances of the bean. A three chamber system offers authentic results while the stainless steel heating elements heat up fast and provide really hot coffee. Not only does this coffeemaker work differently, it looks different too.

Many automatic drip coffeemakers oversaturate the grounds, resulting in flavorless, watery coffee. The Moka Brew aims to avoid fitting into that category by using steam to generate a low-pressure brewing process.
